WHAT TO CONSIDER WHEN CHOOSING YOUR WINTER SAFETY GLOVES

Breathability

Gloves that aren't breathable will trap heat and sweat inside, thereby leading to damp gloves. When gloves are wet inside, heat loss is far higher.

Breathable gloves allow the sweat to escape, preventing the moisture from accumulating and therefore keeping your hands warmer.

Insulation

When temperatures are low, our body heat is particularly valuable.

To retain the heat in your hands, you should be wearing high quality winter hand protection with an insulating layer to protect your fingertips, as this is often the first place to lose heat.

Dexterity

Dexterity in winter gloves is hard, but not impossible, to come by.

If you cannot successfully carry out your tasks with the dexterity of the gloves you are wearing, you are very likely to remove them, and as we know, 70% of hand injuries occur after gloves have been removed.

Waterproof

Cold, wet hands can result in a reduction in overall body temperature.

Wearing waterproof gloves will prevent water from getting inside your gloves in the first place, and keep your hands drier and warmer for longer.
